Studies and seminars

Christos Barus was born in Athens. He studied at the School of Photography of AKTTO (1991-92). His childhood dream of becoming a filmmaker, influenced by Cousteau's documentaries, begins in 1990 by learning to dive. In 2006 it becomes PADI Dive Master and specializes in underwater shooting. He did a Directing Seminar at the Hellenic American Union (1991). His mentor in The Illustration and Photography Directorate is the award-winning Director of Photography Vangelis Vlachakis. In 2007 he participates in the History Doc Workshop (ERT, EDN) for the production of Historical Documentaries. In 2008 it successfully ends a Specialized Scenario Writing Program in the DOMI Group. In 2010 he wrote his first Screenplay for a feature film fiction and is subsidized by the Hellenic Film Center in the program "Writing".

Experience and collaborations

As a Cameraman he has covered various events and events,TV themes, theatrical performances, construction sites, construction projects, travel themes, advertising, hotels, factories, yachts, medical issues, sports, conferences and corporate. He has directed 2 TV spots, 9 documentaries and 2 short films. He has participated in Documentary Festivals (Chalkida, Patras, Rhodes, Slovakia) and Short Films (Drama, Cyprus). He has finished mountaineering, climbing, sailing, caving, sea kayaking, rafting, rescues. He participated in exploration missions (caves, gorges, rivers, cave diving) and trips to Greece and abroad. Also on Rescue and Forest Fire missions with volunteers. He has been a Volunteer Blood Donor since 1998 and an amateur Marathon runner.
